Luwenzo is a small company in Antwerp. We make shading, screens, sliding doors and shutters for verandas and terraces — the things that turn a glass roof from a greenhouse you avoid into a room you use.

What makes us unusual is not the products. It is that you can see what one costs before anyone visits you.

Why we sell it this way

The standard way to buy anything made to measure for a house is to request a quote, wait, have somebody come round, be quoted a number that includes their day, and then negotiate. That process exists because measuring is genuinely hard and because margin is easier to defend in a living room than on a price list.

We thought the measuring part was solvable. For under-roof shading it turned out to be: a veranda roof has rafters, the gaps between them are the sections, and anyone with a tape measure and twenty minutes can give us the numbers. So that system is configurable and buyable online, to the centimetre, at a price you can see without talking to us.

How the work actually goes

Everything is made to order. Nothing in the range sits on a shelf, which is why the lead time is two to three working days rather than next-day — those days are the workshop cutting your opening, in your colours.

Most people fit the under-roof system themselves. That is not a cost-saving dressed up as a feature: the guides screw to the rafters, the drive is already in the tube, and there is nothing to cut and nothing to wire. If you would rather not, fitting is a line in the configurator with a price on the screen, not a figure that appears after a visit.

Where we deliver

Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany. Carriage is worked out from your postcode at checkout and nothing is added afterwards — including the awkward cases, like the Wadden islands and the long haul into southern Germany, which cost more and say so rather than quietly appearing on an invoice.
